Born in Leipzig Barbara Senator is actually developing to one of the more interesting full lyric Soprano voices (direction lyric-dramatic) especially for the Romantic repertory. So she already had great success with the roles of the Goose Girl in E.Humperdincks KÖNIGSKINDERN or as Fox in L.Janaceks THE CUNNING LITTLE VIXEN at Semperoper Dresden.
Lauded for her beautiful tone, a high musicality and lovely legato culture she currently continues her studies with KS Irmgard Boas and is working as free-lanced artist since season 2016/17.
She has already performed at Royal Opera House Covent Garden (LES TROYENS), in the Royal Albert Hall, at Dutch National Opera (RING DES NIBELUNGEN), at Glyndebourne Festival (COSI FAN TUTTE, RUSALKA), at Festival Aix-en-Provence, within the Wiener Festwochen (MAGIC FLUTE) and at Münchner Opernfestspiele (DIDO AND AENEAS).

During the years 2010-16 she belonged to the ensemble of Semperoper Dresden. Here she debuted as Rosina and has developed further to parts like Composer, Donna Elvira, Contessa Almaviva, Pamina etc..
